Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she started to take part in the combat sports. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling before she made her first amateur appearance at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained confidence after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. Then, she went to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen, and beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015, when she signed as a player with Invicta FC. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen go into the Bantamweight division after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her fight via the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at an "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy through TKO. In her last fight for the promotion, she fought Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina and then pounded her on the ground to pick up a second-round TKO victory. Her next fight, against Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd took on Evinger with a punch during the opening round, and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos anjos-lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first fight she's ever had in any significant capacity. Ladd, who won by a unanimous decision following some great exchanges with the fighters, was awarded an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her win streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya during the third round of UFC in ESPN 7. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
